Lead a three person team responsible for all financial planning and analysis
as well as the oversight of the forecasting, accounting and reporting of clinical
trial expense. This position will be both hands on as the analyst for certain
departments as well as providing leadership for the FP&A function. The position
reports to the Vice President, Finance.
- Manage two direct reports to ensure professional growth of reports as well
as achievement of department and corporate objectives
- Instill and maintain excellent internal customer service including monthly
budget versus actual reporting to all budget holders and other reporting as
requested
- Provide primary financial analysis support for Commercial and G&A departments
- Lead rolling monthly and five-year forecasts in coordination with FP&A
team
- Prepare analysis to facilitate understanding of present and future financial
forecasts and potential upsides and downsides to forecast
- Responsible for monthly financial management report and improvements to
report
- Support monthly close process and assist with the quarterly reviews and
annual audits
- Support the maintenance of an internal control environment compliant with
Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
- Bachelors degree required, masters degree strongly preferred
- At least ten years of relevant experience, including at least five years
as a manager
- Experience managing senior professionals
- Demonstrated ability to deliver under pressure while maintaining teamwork
- Strong ability to build relationships and communication within Finance and
with other departments
- Prior experience with a public company including both department-level support
and corporate-level forecasting
- Prior experience with a biotech or pharmaceutical company
